optical at a specific letter (H: for example) and not the first available
letter ?

The operating system tells us what the next available local drive letter is and
we use it. There is no option to switch this using the drivers. You may want
to look into the DOS SUBSTITUTE or ASSIGN commands to do this.

Sorry, it doesn't help….. i must reserve the E: for my CD-ROM (having to HDs
C:,D:) , do you know a tiny prog that could reserved a letter in CONFIG.SYS
and leave it a little time later ?
