I have the Backup program that came with the SCSI SW Package (not Pro) and run
it with a BusLogic SCSI VESA Bus Controller with a Conner Viper 540 Meg tape
drive. I use the current version of PCKWIK's HD caching program defaulted to
the maximum with delayed writes, etc. When I run a backup, I do not get error
messages, but I do get delay messages in the window that shows the progress of
the BU.
Is it OK from a maintenance viewpoint to retain maximum settings on the PCKWIK
cache? Should I be getting "delay" messages, even though I do not get an error
message?
Is there an upgrade path for the Tape Backup SW? It is, by the IDE standards
that I am used to (Norton BU) rather primitive and feature free. Thank you for
