Does anyone here have the AmiLink/VT (CI) editing system?
I got a couple of upgrade disks in the mail, (back in 1993), that I could
not use. I did not have Workbench 2.1 yet for my Amiga……and these
updates will only work with the 2.1 or above. Now I have 2.1.
I thought these disks were just a patch, and would have an Install Icon on
them that would install the changes on the old program, and that would be
that.
Instead, I find there is no such Icon, only what appears to be a new
program Icon.
What do I do…. throw out the old Icon, (into the trashcan, and empty it)
and move the new icon into place on the hard disk in the Toaster drawer?
Can it be that simple?

Hal,
It has been my experience that RGB does send out new, full versions of
their software as upgrades. What you may wish to do is to rename your
current Ami-Link to Ami-Link-Old and then move the new Ami-Link into that
drawer and see if it works. If it doesn't you should be able to just
delete the new one and rename the old one again.
