Hi there, We're big Corel users ….lots of successes for a number of years…but a new dilemma has come up……hope you can help. We're attempting to print a process color map with a well-known "budget" printer in Kansas City and we've hit a road block. Because my partner was a bit squeamish about manual trapping in Corel, she separated the art into "traditional" paper seps for the printer's manual stripping department. We have lots of experience (20 years) with this and they've been successfully composing the work for viewing as matchprint proofs. Problem is that the maps are very complex and they're losing money in the composition stages. They've completed one map out of five…and have now decided that they need to have the artwork for the remaining maps as digital files……………..for their MAC-based, CorelDRAW-less system. Has anyone dealt with the translation of a complex (over a thousand objects) Corel 3.0 file to the MAC platform? Since we've not written our contracts with the filmwork built-in, we'd like to hand files off to the printer…..and not output film on our end. I tried exporting the map Illustrator format…but the fonts were converted to outlines….and pretty badly converted at that. There were some positioning problems as well in the conversion. So much for that. I'd love to hear from anyone out there that has conquered this conversion process. Bill Grey
