I am trying to scan some color photos on a Scanjet IIcx. The pictures, however, come up with some "pixelization" or pixel blemishes, reminiscend of scanning from magazine photos. I am scanning at 150 dpi, with normal sharpening and millions of color settings. I can get rid of the pixel blemishes by converting the picture to 256 colors , using Paintshop. The problem is that it is not in 16M colors anymore. What can I do to get rid of the "pixels" in the original scan ?
