#Aircraft Meshes
7 messages in this thread
Our CAD department is looking for sources for Meshes of Commercial aircraft.
Any help in pointing us in the right direction will be appreciated. Thanks.

Well, Of course there are the mesh database libraries, like Viewpoint
or Syndesis. The addresses for a few vendors can be found on your
CD-ROM.
But I also heard of an Anonomous FTP site somewhere on the internet
that had a hundred or so airplane meshes in their library. Does
anyone remember this or know where it is?
Brian, Are these libraries (Viewpoint or Syndesis) on CIS? If you can
turn up the Internet source let me know. Thanks much for the help.
The libraries I am refering to are developed by Companies like
Viewpoint, and the meshes are sold for a profit (usually a healthy
one <g>). Viewpoint and Syndesis are company names. Last telephone
numbers I have for them are: Viewpoint: 800-748-4170, Syndesis
414-674-5200. There are several other companies as well. Look on your
CD-ROM, and others will pitch in here on the forum, I am sure.
Brian, I'm sort of the middle man here. The folks who have 3D Studio
gave me these questions because I have the CIS account. I'll pass
along the info to them. Thanks much for the help.
Which aircraft in particular are you interested in? We have most of
the Boeing Aircraft, M.D., and some Corporate Jets including
Gulfstream, Lear, and Falcon. Cal Rodgers Profisee Software
Cal, I'm asking these questions for someone else in the company, I'm
just the one with the CIS account. I'll pass this on to the folks
that are interested. I'm sure they'll be in touch. Thanks much.
