Does anyone have any info on A-Squared LIVE! digitizer? I bought one a long time ago and the newer my system software gets the less likly my LIVE! will stay alive. I'm using a Beta version of the software and its dated 8-21-89. Anyone know of any newer stuff? Tnx!

The software published by A-Squared for Live! was rather weak (including Focus Video – a real piece of junk. The Elan Invision was much better – have you tried that?

No I have not. Can you tell me more? Does the Elan Invision software work with the A squared hardware by chance? That would be terrific.

It's Elan Invision Plus, actually, but it's been discontinued. The good news is that if you can still find a copy it's going for rock cheap. It's really just a special version of Elan Performer. Same interface, mostly. You can try some mail order shops that may have copies still lying around. Safe Harbor, maybe. They can check with their distributors. Other software that works with LIVE! includes Fantavision (still sold) and Zoetrope (discontinued but still widely available). However, you need a Supergen genlock in both cases. The LIVE! capable features are limited to the animation aspects of each package. Neither does the real-time special effects of Invision or the bundled LIVE! software.
