Hello…. I'm considering buying a Canon BJ-5 printer which can emulate an Epson printer. Can anyone tell me what I need to connect it to my Amiga A500 (UK) computer or a potential Amiga A1200, in terms of leads and printer drivers ? I'd look up this info in the tech. manuals but my Amiga is 6000 miles away from me at the moment, so it's a little tricky… Please help me, you're my only hope…. <g> Andrew Wong (stuck in Baton Rouge, Louisiana though he's going back home to the UK in three weeks !)

You should use the EpsonQ driver, I believe that is what the te Canon emulates, and any standard 25-pin to Centronics cable should work. Also check out the libraries, I believe there are quite a few good Canon-specific drivers for the Amiga here.

No problem, use a normal Centronics cable to connect the BJ5 to the Amiga and download the CanonDisk V2 from the AmigaUser library here on CIS. The CanonDisk offers a powerfull Canon driver (do NOT use EpsonQ!). — Wolf Faust, Am Dorfgarten 10, 60435 Frankfurt, Germany —
