I'm sure it's a minor oversight (I hope), but I saw no mention of field rendering being in the final 3.0 Imagine. It is still in there, yes? Received 2.9 today; lots of productivity help in the editors, looks like an "accelerator" for creating animation. Thanks to you and the users for asking for and putting in some nice stuff. "quickEdges" is really nice when one is not working on a Silicon G Crimson. Now I can see what I'm doing FAST! But no shadow mapping 'till 3.0? You're such a tease! This is actually for Mike: like Jeff, I'm totally enamored with the new Quick Edges option! Redraws are incredibly fast, yet I can quickly create a set of quick edges which will still give me a decent idea of what my object looks like. For example, with the Pick Edges filter, couldn't I easily pick all edges which are nearly horizontal or vertical, and make them quick edges? I haven't tried it, but it would be a fast way to generate a useful shorthand view of my object. (e.g. the horizontal edges at the base would let me precisely place my object onto the ground, and those at the left/right side and top would give good feedback on the size of my object) I love quick edges!

Blaq, yes these quick edges are cool, but you have to select them first. I have a small german program that has a fast draw function. It just draws only every 5th triangle. Simple and you can still see who the object looks like.

Blaq, Ahh you bet, now you know what I use the edge filter for. Mike
