First off, there's something wrong with the formatting of your message. It's pretty hard to read. Secondly, it sounds like you have too many vertices for the current Shape-Max setting. Check out page 42 of your Installation Guide. – Jack

Jack, What I drew in corel were cuvilinear objects that I exported to 3ds3 shaper. Those objects when loaded into the shaper brought up the settings dialog that I described "shape-max too small" & "this file is too large for the values you have defined in your .set file" but my question is whether it is normal to get such an incredible number of vertices for a this kind of shape.(thanks for the installation manual reference) I read p.42 in the inst. manual and I understand that the default setting for the max vetices is 500 vertices which allows for optimal rendering time. What I am trying to find is a way to quickly import shapes to loft. The shapes possible would be good but it looks as though the trade off is complexity within the shaper. Thanks for the help and sorry for the unclear message at the start. Respectfully, Gary
