Everytime I try to configure Directory Opus version 4.11 on my Amiga 4000, I get a visit from the guru. The proper assigns are made (ASSIGN Dopus: Worckbench:), Hypercache is turned off and a Video Toaster in installed. Each and every time I try to configure D Opus, I get many different guru messages, like: 1). 8000 000B 0710ACE8 2). " " 07101BC0 3). " " 07007FA2 4). " " 07100EF0 Can D Opus run properly on an '030 Amiga 4000 equipped with the Toaster and 18 megs ram? Thanks Burning the Midnight Toast Patrick White

Your problem (actually, it's our problem, but it's also your problem 🙂 is that you have a 256 colour workbench set up. DOpus 4.11 has a bug that causes the Config program to crash if workbench is set up for 256 colours. Simply change to 128 colours or less and it will work fine (incidentally, you'll notice that your system runs a lot faster without an 8 bitplane screen out there slowing everything down) Jon
