Certification from adesk

I'm an instructor at The Copper Connection in Santa Clara Calif and I
am very upset about the latest from Autodesk. Their requirement to
take the FKA training course is just too much, I mean, $1000. For
what? does adesk really think that this one course alone will make
all us instructors better instructors?
If adesk is really concerned about the quality of instructors they
shouldn't make it hard on the good ones that are already teaching and
have had training like the FKA course! If adesk insists on this
course of action many instructors and ATC's will bail out of the
"family".
If you agree, please e-mail adesk! We in the ATC network should
unite!
I've commented about these issues in the past and get the 'quit
whining and come up with some solutions' comments. Frankly, I'm tired
of getting my nose rubbed in the stuff and am just watching. It
should be obvious that we cannot afford not only the tuition costs
but the lost time and travel expenses involved with sending each
instructor to these classes.
Barry Bowen writes the AutoLISP toolbox articles each month for
Cadalyst. I should hope that this qualifies him for teaching in our
Training Center. BTW he also has been teaching for 8 years as well.
We simply cannot afford to pay him a full day of consulting fees, his
travel expenses and course tuition.

We are looking into alternatives, costs, availability, shorter courses., in
conjunction with PPTs, etc., etc.
Why not just have a really good evaluation form, compile the results
which would be mailed to Autodesk by the students rather than the
ATC, and see who your good instructors are.
I really don't care who is certified, who is doing the best job.
Lets try to stay free market driven rather than over credentializing
everything.
