Hello Tony,
I don't think I caught this thread from the start, but I just bought a PAR
& 2210A drive and can't get it to work at all. I get the message "Hardware
failure. Check drive." Also, when I run the PAR test program when I get to
the Reset IDE interface part, it waits quite a while then says "Super-8
time out error – Last transmitted command = 6" Is this indicative of the
Micropolis drive problem?

Did you do configure the drive as a master with no slave?
I believe also there are a few jumpers that you have to pull.
Give DPS a call if that is the case, the tech support is great!

Thanks for the tip but the problems are beyond master/slave jumpers, plus I
only testing one drive at a time with the par. Tony Butterfield

I have seen that message on one of the microp. drives I was testing and it
never did work with the par. later, Tony Butterfield-Planisphere Productions
