3DS4 camera control

Can someone explain the relationship between screen resolution and the
way the the camera control and match perspective works. Also the
numbers on page 21 in the new features manual of 3DS 4 does not seem
to be correct. Has anyone got those numbers to work.

It seems you're right; those numbers don't give me a result that makes any
sense either. Maybe a typo?
I'm not quite sure what you mean by your screen resolution question; can you go
into a little more detail?

Yes, there does seem to be a mistake in the "answers" to the
perspective matching tutorial. Here is why:
Camera and target absolute points can be entered, or dolly distances
can be entered, but not both. Entering one will override the other.
The definition of Dolly is to "pull back" or "push forward" the
camera. Obviously this changes it's position, and consequently the
numbers for absolute position will change as well.
I think, if you type in all the numbers EXCEPT the one for dolly, you
will get the image that they want you to wind up with.
Hi!
So we've tried both setting the dolly number and setting the camera/target
point
numbers – without an appreciably "right" view appearing.
What are the right numbers? There is no picture to try and match up to, so its
hard to figure out.
Thanks!
When I tried plugging in the numbers (except for dolly), I got the house
sitting next to the other houses, although it wasn't exactly lined up.

Good question. Problem is, there is no definitive answer. With perspective
matching it really just boils down to what looks right to you.
