Hi dave, >>I can't help stressing to people that animations is only ONE benefit of 3D Studio. Photorealism in stills can be just as effective and profitable if "immediacy" is an issue. << Yes, excellent point, well taken! We have done several projects where stills were all the client desired. /* Yes, excellent point, well taken! We have done several projects where stills were all the client desired. */ We had one situation where the client wanted a "walk-thru" (he really didn't understand the concept of a walk-thru at that time, but he'd heard the term and decided it was what he needed). We said "sure", and set out to create stills at key locations throughout the building. The rendering time took about 4 hours to create 30+ stills; rendered perspectives of different rooms. When the client came back, surprised we were done, we sat down and did our "walk-thru", discussing (as any architect would with a series of renderings) the designs we had in mind. He was thrilled at the concept, even more amazed when we asked if he'd like to see some motif changes of the same rooms, and insisted on knowing more about the programs we were using. > Success comes from being smarter than the situation < That's all the philosophy I'll spout today, I promise. <g> -dave
