If they are 3Dfaces they will. On a large model you can manually weld the vertices more efficiently since you can control which vertices 3DS compares for welding. When 3DS welds vertices it must compare all selected vertices for closeness. If you can reduce the number of vertices it must search you can greatly reduce the time. Try welding objects one at a time. On large objects, weld half the vertices, then the other half and finally the verts at the border. The balance of active tedium verses inactive tedium will depend on your model<g>. Terry Gilbert Forcade & Associates
