HELP! I keep putting off buying a new P90 system because I've been getting confilicting reports on what kind of performance to expect from various configurations. The last thing I heard was that your vanilla VLB mother board outperforms PCI in head-to-head rendering competition! Is there any truth to be devined, out there?

I have 2 P90's and have noticed that the graphics under DOS are a little slow (both are PCI). However, the rendering speed is nearly 2.5 times that of a 486/66. So, if you need more the speed and can justify the cost, order right away! The tests of all the P90's seem to indicate theirs only a processing speed diffference of a few percent. So it might make it 2.4 times to 2.6 times faster. Not much of a difference…

The best way to get the most bang for your buck is to have someone like Matt Armstrong with AM Labs (214) 960-7915 build your system to suit your budget and needs. They are experts in this field.
