Hi Kyle "I've got a STB Pegasus 4MB VLB video card, and when I have the Mat Editor display set for 640×480 at 24bit, it seems to like to redraw its menus in strange places…" Vibrant's STB Pegasus works properly with 1.0.5 version of the Vibrant drivers (those shipping with 3DS4; the same one that is called VIB3DS.ZIP here). Perhaps there is something interfering – a software driver or TSR, or something in the hardware. For hardware, we usually try disabling any special features, like cache, turbo mode, until the problem goes away. One thing Vibrant suggested: if your revision of the board is different from theirs, you could get different results. If you can't resolve the problem, let me know the chip information about your board, BIOS revision, etc., Anything that might cause your board to be different from the Vibrant's Pegasus board. Good luck. P.S. Did you catch this note: 10/31/94 Craig Neubauer, 71041,1727 I find that running the mat- editor in 800×600 24bit works ok. I'd be curious as to why different resolutions and number of colors causes things to show up in different spots and not erased.

Hi Nik, I'm running the Vibrant drivers that shipped with r4. <<P.S. Did you catch this note: 10/31/94 Craig Neubauer, 71041,1727 I find that running the mat- editor in 800×600 24bit works ok. I'm running it at 640×480 in 65K colors now and I'm happy. -Kyle p.s. I've got about 30 SigKids project files here – all dinosaurs – and none of them have any legs. any ideas? 🙂 I'm just wrapping up the video post production on the adesk/SigKids video. Laura London will have it on Dec. 12 when she is back in the office.

Kyle, dinosaurs without legs?… well, I, ahhh. Hmmm. You are not the first to comment that you want to move from the "when dinosaurs had no legs" period to something more contemporary. There is no mechanism currently in place that will grow those legs. Thanks for your comments!

Nik, actually there was one kid who was able do defeat all the odds and put legs on his – – it's in the video. << There is no mechanism currently in place that will grow those legs.>> maybe we could ask Yost group to make a dinolegs Ipas 🙂 -Kyle
