>>Can I still run both?<<
It's obvious I have opened a pandora's debate box. I can only hope autodesk
views a windows version of 3DS as an inevitable upgrade and not as another
product. This would set the tone for most vendors. It doesn't look good
considering auto-cad for dos and auto-cad for windows. I personally plan on
using only one version of 3DS be it Dos or Windows. I have no interest in
going back and forth. I think it comes down to how much money autodesk wants
from its customers. If it is to much…! I used lightwave for a couple of
years before I used 3DS. If they want to nickel and dime their customers to
death I have no problem switching back. Especially since we just acquired a
830+ mip Windows NTdigital video server I'm planning on using for rendering on
lightwave.
It's been a fun John! I think its time to let this one go. 🙂

P.S. There are add-ons that work with quicken be it dos or windows. And they
usually come in the same box for one price.
I agree that it would be nice if they dropping the DOS version entirely, and
focused on the Windows version. You could use any Windows / NT server for
render farms…
We finally agree! I suspect we wanted the same thing all along. I am
especially looking forward to the 3D subsystem acceleration in Win 95 & NT.
Now, I'm going to complicate things and say I am thinking about moving from
Windows to OS/2 Warp. At least until I get a good stable pre-release of Win95.
I want to move frame to my par in the background. It's almost like being on
the Amiga again.
It's been good talking to you as usually, but I have female companion
requesting my presences.
