Help! Any ideas on what would cause a linked set of objects, ie: 50pman to not be "pickable" by IK? I have even merged in 50pman from the CD Rom and when I go into IK and CAN pick his structure, the skeleton in interactive mode is all messed up. Does IK depend upon World Coordinates? Object coords? What? Also if I scale 50pman while an unlinked selected set will that mess up the skeleton? Lost in the Kinematic Zone… Bill

Hi Bill, << IK and 50 Pman..>> Have you seen IKMAN.zip in the Mesh/Project files yet? Mike White uploaded 50Pman with joint restrictions. << world or object coords.. >> object coords for the x,y,z labeling. jonas[adesk]

*** IKMAN.zip *** Just got it. Will look it over. I have since found my probs have to do with scaling by selection set in editor while the man still has hierarchy in keyfrmr. The scale function not only changes the skeleton but the mesh also gets changed undesireably. BUT…my prob now is; 1) unlink 50pman in keframr 2) scale and move to position in editor 3) re link 50pman 4) IK is OK! 5) added some hide/unhide keys for the elements of 50pman 6) IK now will not "see" the linked 50pman. Nor can I "Pick" any of his elements. So, I continue to experiment. Thanks, Bill
