Jonas, I found a problem when I rendered an animation using a network. Here's the story: I have 6 486's on a Novell network. I set 5 as slaves and the 6th set as a slave after loading the queue. 2 animations were loaded in the queue. I set both animations for field-mode. The first rendered fine. But the second animation files came out rendered in frame mode instead of field mode — almost, that is. About every 7th frame was rendered field mode (correctly, as it was set). What do you think went wrong? Why did the slaves render the images incorrectly? Yet only on one model? Thanks in advance for your insight.

Hi Gregory, << What do you think went wrong? >> Are these all R3 machines or all R4 machines? If these are R3 machines, then I don't know. R3's network rendering is proven solid. There have been field order problems posted that involved a network rendering environment that included R3 and R4 slaves/masters. The solution was to upgrade all of the machines to R4. jonas[adesk]
