Hey Angela,
Yes I did check out the NAVflyer. I brought a small dxf file
that came with it. I think it was some colored numbers. Anyway I
didn't spend as much time as would have liked to with it ( I am
currently under the gun to get some acad production work done ) but
noticed initially that it was only repsonsive to the keyboard. Mouse
support should definitely be something to concentrate on. It did seem
a little slow, but it could have been my sysytem. I am currently
running a straight DX50 w/ 32 meg of ram and a 1 meg vesa local bus
video card. I still think the concept is a good one and understand
that this is the first release of the product. As I said earlier
there are people out there that want this technology. Also I would
like to see 3D Studio support and ultimately be able to "fly" around
my 3D Studio files in at least 256 colors. I know this may be asking
alot, but to be totally honest I can't sell it unless it is
repsonsive and has good color quality. I'm willing to wait! Keep in
touch and let me know when the new version is posted and I'll check
it out.
Jeff
Thanks for the reply….
Yes mouse support is available NOW for those who register NAVFlyer (See
beginning of NAVFlyer.TXT for price… it's __low__….-sorry sysop, adjectives
about prices are ok right?).
I think we are going to go ahead and include 3DS file input in the registered
version as well as there does seem to be an interest to have it.
I will let you know as soon as the next release is posted here, with
the faster flying included. This version is a bit slow, since it is
only using the default VESA CDK driver in the first version. All
registered users will of course get the faster version, with mouse
support and the 3DS file input.
Thanks for taking the time to check it out!!! We will keep in touch…
Angela
