I've just noticed that privat messages are disabled here. I can understand the
reason why (they take up space and they don't help the public), but in this
forum is would be very important to have privat message.
OzCIS for example erases privat messages after they are read by the addressee.

You are right in regards to my answer … use CompuServe Mail. Our staff
sees no reason to use up valuable forum message slots when a member can just as
easily send a message to mail. Remember, a private message is accessible only
to two people where as a regular forum message is available to thousands. Just
an effective use of good resources is the best reason to disable private
messages.
