#Master & Mac
2 messages in this thread
Hi There
Yeaaah! Finally! I was really exited when I first saw you on CI$! Heck, that's
what I was waiting for! I've been going on Ken's nerves via AppleLink for quite
a while (sorry for that (g)). There might be some more ideas on
problem-sollution available now.
My main problem still is the renderer for the Mac. I have Master 2.04 and I run
it on an 840AV with 32 Megs of RAM. In one animation I am working right now the
renderer will not do more than 8 or 9 frames in a row, even if I give the
module all of the available RAM. It obviously does not clear the RAM completely
after on frame is rendered (I checked that using the "About this Macintosh"
Dialoge being opened in the background. Have you guys fixed that problem yet?
I guess I am behind if it comes to updating, but tell you the truth, it's kind
of hard to keep up with you.
Do you mind if I upload some QT Files here?
Another thing. I've been having problems with bulbs. It seems like they
actually do not produce light spheres but only half or three-quarter spheres.
Sometimes I get odd shadows using bulbs and it looks as if the not used half of
the bulb is casting a shadow. I will send a file to you where I ran into that
problem the last time. It is called "50_sRoom.gif". The odd shadow is the one
that is going straight across the room (left half of the picture). The shadow
casting bulb is sitting right on the shadow line a little over the bowl and its
target is in the right half of the picture. We (my partner and me) checked the
chor over and over but ther simply is nothing that could cast a shadow like
that. Also would you have any idea where the strange stripe in the mirror could
come from? Again we checked the whole thing a couple of times. It is visible no
matter where you place the camera. but it is only in the mirror not on the
opposide wall.
Oh, is the Preview Settings bug in Direction fixed by now?
Thanks in advance.

post so I won't repeat myself…. e-mail me the inf and we'll get you updated!
That should fix all the problems you mentioned…..
