Dear Daniel:
Could you please tell me when does your company relases the new SoftF/X
for Windows to market? Do you provide the demo version to allow user to test
the result of the product. If yes, please notice me as soon as possible.
Thanks for your attention……. I am very interesting in the product…
Hi Dave:
Thank you for your interest in our SoftF/X software. SoftF/X will be released
in the U.S. and Canada on or before Nov 7,1994. The introductory price through
12/94 is $497.50, a 50% savings off the $995 list price.
The demo version will not be available until late November. The cost of the
SoftF/X demo with a 150+ page tutorial manual is $19.95.
Thank you.
Scott
Dear Sir:
Thanks for your information about the product. Finally, I also got a
question. Does the software have 30 day money back guarantee?
You will have a demo with a tutorial? Never seen that, but it sure is a good
idea. A demo of a complex program without any docs is useless.
BTW how has the modeller changed since the DOS version? Are there deformation
tools?
-David
Hi David:
The modeler in SoftF/X offers basically the same features as did Envisage 3D
for DOS with the exception of a new 2D Bezier drawing tool. The 2D Bezier
drawing tool functions exactly as the one in Adobe Illustrator. The new
SoftF/X modeler is much easier to use and does not require use of two mouse
buttons to operate.
The modeler enables for third parties to write plug-in modelers such as
additional deformation tools. Note that SoftF/X enables third parties to write
plug-in shaders, import/export filter, modelers, special effects, post
processes, and animation scripts. Full developer documentation is complete and
available. SoftF/X is completely extensible and plug-ins are installed as
DLL's.
In the initial release of SoftF/X, we concentrated on ease of use (completely
Windows standard with the look and feel of traditional 2D graphics software
such as Photoshop), extensibility, and blazingly fast performance. SoftF/X will
dramatically change DOS users minds regarding the performance of Windows.
I believe that you will be impressed with SoftF/X. We believe third party
extensions will appear shortly after the November 7th release. The Essence
library of textures for SoftF/X has been complete for some time although no
word from Apex Publishing as to pricing and delivery dates. A number of IPAS
developers have also expressed interest in porting their routines. We will
keep you informed when these extensions are released.
Thank you for your continued interest.
Best regards,
Scott
