I see that our section is now in place and open, so I'd like to take this opportunity to greet the forum members. We're very pleased to be here and plan to be very active. Our goal is to contribute substantially to the quantity and quality of the special effects available in the Windows and Windows NT arena. A file has been uploaded to the library (8) which briefly describes our special effects software; it should become available for downloading shortly. Once you've looked at it, I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have. In the meantime, here is some general information along those lines. Right now, we're in the process of putting the finishing touches on Release 3 of our software. This project is on schedule and looking great – we plan to have it out on or before December 12th of this year (you have to say "this year" now… :^). I know you've all heard those "we'll make it" claims previously, but we've got some advantages up our sleeve, development-wise, that make our estimates a lot better than run of the mill guesses you've heard before. Wait and see – we'll make the date. We'll be talking about those advantages as well, because they're quit controversial, at least in some people's eyes. You should know that we intend to use the forum as an interactive "funnel" for ideas, improvements and problem solving with our customers. One of the first things you'll learn about us is that we listen to our customer base, learn from them, and act on what we learn. Many of the incredible – and unique – special effects in our software are the result of feedback or suggestions from our customer base. If you make a suggestion for an improvement or a new feature in our products and we feel that we can reasonably accomplish what you are asking for – or something close to it – you'll probably see it in a new version of the software before very long at all. In this way, the software grows and prospers, and so do you. Again, I'm looking forward to discussing issues related to our product and your work; nothing less than the best price/performance and highest capabilities possible are our goals. Help us meet them!
