I am experimenting with a fairly large static array in a BXP.
When I define the array at a size of 0x1C0000 bytes, the BXP loads and runs
fine.
When I define the array at a size of 0x1F0000 bytes, the BXP appears to fail to
load and 3DS locks up.
I have a debug output function which writes trace strings to a text file, and
since the trace file does not get created when the array size is the larger of
the 2 given above, I can determine that the BXP initialization is not running,
and conclude that the BXP may not even be loaded.
Do you know of any bugs in 3DS verion 4, or IPAS3, or IPAS4 which limit the
size of static memory allocations of a BXP module. The same experiment was run
with both IPAS3 and IPAS4 linkage, adn the result was identical.
