How can I prevent Near Clipping when doing close Fly By's and Fly Though's? My Z Clip is set to 1 and lens 35 or 50mm. I still got it on my recient project of flying though and around spinal column bones. When I try useing "Maps/Cement.cel" as a reflection map in a material it appears to default to a Planar mapping only. (other mappings like 3ds.cel work ok) I need to apply a Spherical in this case and it comes out Planar with that material. (I"m useing it to simulate Titianiam metal) Help??? I'm running R4. Is there any thing on CD r2 that isn't on CD World Kit, that I should keep CD r2? Thank you in advance.

The best way to prevent near clipping is by scaling your scene up (if your scene is so small that a z-clip value of 1.0 still clips, it's too small). Re cement.cel… there's nothing special about it, compared to any other map. Re the r2 CD-ROM… there are actually a few things on there that aren't on the r3 CD-ROM. Some meshes, some flics… but nothing spectacular. – G

Gary, PMJI, but I just remebered a question, I wanted to ask you regarding singularities. If I link my entire scene to a dummy and then rotate it an arbitrary amount (90x) for instance, the camera doesn't seem to roll properly. If you don't know what I mean I'll be happy to zip up a quick example. Just wondering, what to do to minimize this effect. Thanks Dave Mennenoh

Why don't you show it to Jonas, and then he'll run it by me if he's got questions. – G
