Tried that. The change in brightness seems a little less doing it that way, but it's still there. The brightness change I'm talking about is very slight, but becomes quite apparent when viewing the animation in a loop.

Jim, Fading in the second layer without fading out the first, should produce a linear fade. If you can create a simple project file that demonstrates the poblem you are having, then feel free to .zip it up and send it to us here on Compuserve. We will take a look at it. -Brian

Thanks for your reply. Sorry I wan't more clear, but I was asking if there was a way to switch off the dithering in Animator Pro when doing FLICS – COMPOSITE – CROSS-FADE. The result I'm getting looks jittery. Looks much smoother when using 3DS with dither turned off, but then I'm back to the brightness thing. -Jeff
