This IPAS was running great until I upgraded to Release 4 of 3D
Studio. All my other IPASs run fine, but attempting to load this one
kicks me all the way out of 3D Studio, into the cold. Brrrrrrrrr!
(or maybe I should say: Grrrrrrr!) I've written Schreiber twice, but
no response yet. I just wanted to contact anyone else using
Puppeteer to see if this was a universal problem, or if I was just
(un)lucky. Regards, –Steve

I have been running puppeteer in R4 for quite some time now. I believe you
will need version 1.04 or later to be compatible with R4. Do you know what
version you have?

I'm working version 1.06 sent to me by Schreiber.
I have re-installed twice but still get the same result. Running Puppeteer
causes a horizonal band, grey in color, to run across the bottom of the screen.
Then the top of the screen displays the following before kicking me out of 3D
Studio:
Abnormal program termination: Memory protection fault
CS:EIP=000Fh:0017585Bh
Invalid directory
I have 20 Megs of ram so that's not the problem. And all my other IPAS
routines run just dandy. I'm becoming very frustrated at not having a $400
software package run… to say nothing of the fact that it kicks me out of 3D
Studio completely.

PMFJI, I have a case where the baby sitter is changing a diaper on a 3 month
old laying on a changing table. A 9 month old child is directly behind her and
is unstable on his feet. She reaches back to stabilize him and pulls the 3
months old off the changing table. The changing table has no rails to prevent
this from happening.
Will puppeteer help me perform the movements of the baby sitter? I've had R4
for a couple of weeks now and find it hard to make her move properly using IK.
When she moves her left hand back to stabilize the 9mo old her hand moves very
eratic (up and down) while reaching back. I have it following a object. Maybe
you could shed some light on this for me.
BTW, I'm uploading the forensic animator list today.
