> I would go with 16 MB _minimum_ and at least 350 MB hard drive or I wouldn't even sign the ticket. That's my point, the 16 meg would just cover your os. Say that you were running a 3D program, you would want to have another 16 meg of ram for headroom. At 50.00 per meg, that would be 1,600.00 for ram !!! Now, of course, PMS dos Windozzzze people are used to the overhead, and the buisness sector will pay big bucks to get what they want, as long as it does the job. That's the problem with us Amiga people, we're spoiled !!! I am running Lightwave, with ADPro and sentry in the background auto processing my anims,Directory Opus, and sometimes Brilliance, and GPfax on a 12 meg machine,(plus 2 meg of chip ram) and I have yet to run out of ram !!! This is the kind of thing that will keep me with my Amiga untill it breaks down into dust !!!! And don't forget Arexx !!! I am the envy of many a windozzze user buddy because of the ease and use of having one standard inter program macro language.( yes, I know, OS/2 has rexx) I do agree that the new owners need to kick some butt to stay current. They futher you drift from shore, the harder the swim back…. Mike Brennan, Sir Render A/V
