Oh.. you think the A4000 is ugly too eh!? 🙂 Yep.. a new look would be wonderful! The reason that I want the Boing! logo back is that it truly should have been the logo Commodore adopted. The Amiga old timers like myself would get a warm fuzzy knowing that the Amiga–which was once saved from destruction by Commodore, is now saved again–with a new company who understands the Amiga. The Boing logo has that message attached to it I think. Yep.. I bet it could be done nicely and hi-tech. 🙂 The keyboard garage was one of the coolest features of the Amiga 1000. It allowed you to slide your keyboard underneath the CPU when you were not using it! It really made for a nice desk environment–and it was immediately dropped by Commodore after the A1000. -mark= Otto Pilot Engaged..

The thing is, the Boing thing got fame from its dynamism – motion, man! So do you want a little battery powered active matrix patch on the front of the case that plays the boing anim all the time, power on or off? :^} wmc – via Autopilot!

How about a little array of LED's wired to some address. When I worked at Unisys nee Burroughs, the mainframe had a big array of lights on the front panel that represented the top of the stack and other registers. The MCP (this was before TRON) wrote a pattern in there during idle loops that displayed the company logo. I always thought that was pretty cool. 🙂 JIm MOS via Autopilot & Amiga

Kinda like that Boing! logo modernized for the NEW Amiga- makes sense.

I think the bouncing ball is ugly. I've been an Amiga user/developer since 1986 and never liked that ugly red & white ball. Keep the colored checkmark- the sign of a real Amiga. .Andy from Harding NJ

How about a bouncing ball where a multi-colored check indicates the path of the bounce? Personally, I like the stylized capital "A" as well.

How about an _upside down_ multi-colored check as a stylized A with the boing ball as the "hole" in the A? Actually, I think it's too late; they took too long. <sigh> Malcolm
