I have a Microway Flicker Fixer that I bought secondhand here on the sig. It came with no manual or software, and I'm wandering if there are some things tht I'm missing to get it to work with a Sony 2020 monitor. I've got the board installed and the monitor is hooked up, but all I get on the screen is flickering green. Help!!! C. Davey

I have a Microway flicker fixer complete with manual and software sitting in its box doing nothing at the moment. Your monitor is not mentioned (manual is too old, I think) but what might be of interest is that for other Sony monitors it stresses that you should NOT use the cable that comes with the monitor, and that the digital/analog switch should be set to analog. The pin-outs for the cable should be as follows; 9 pin D-SUB, male at both ends: pin # pin # RED 1 3 GREEN 2 4 BLUE 3 5 HSYNC 4 8 VSYNC 5 9 GND 6 6 GND 7 7 GND 8 1 GND 9 2 Hope this helps. If you need any more info, just holler. Pete Jones, flying on AutoPilot from Brussels, Belgium

Thanks for the info. I think the monitor is screwed up, but I'll check what you ahve sent. I bought a cable at Staples and I've hooked up a VCR with no success. Stay tuned. C. Davey

The formatting on your message was confusing, do you mean that the plugs on either end of the cable should be wired as follows? pin # pin # . RED 1 3 . GREEN 2 4 . BLUE 3 5 . HSYNC 4 8 . VSYNC 5 9 . GND 6 6 . GND 7 7 . GND 8 1 . GND 9 2 You need to put a "." at the beginning of each short line in a list. I'm sure the cable I got at Staples is straight across. Thanks for the info! Is Microway still around? Do you have a support number for them? C. Davey
