#Amiga and BTech

As;
1) I'm new (!)
2) I've got an Amiga (!!)
3) I like BattleTech.
4) I had the old MechWarrior game (remember when?)
Then;
1) Do you have any editors for BT or MW?
2) Do you have openings in an on-line game? (where, when, et.al.)
BTW
Built a program using Analyze to quickly create 2nd Ed. players, as
well as calculate costs for Mechs. Also I like the political side of the
game as well, would seem fun to try to allocate resources to various
factories in order to build new Mechs as well as keep Garrisons and the
like stocked. Tho' negotiating with the beaurocrats as the Unit supply
sergeant ("Scrounger") would be acceptable.
Keep the PPC's hot and the Ammo cool!

You sound just like me! <g> (Except I've been here since July — well, I
guess that makes me sort of new. 🙂
In case you hadn't yet heard, Activision has pushed MechWarrior II back
yet again. It _has_ to be out by March '95 if it is to come out at all,
since that's when Activision's contract with FASA expires.

Only on the PC, unfortunately. I once tried to write one in AMOS, but it
didn't turn out too well (inadequate planning, I suppose). I am (slowly)
writing one in TurboC, though; I hope to port it over and give it a GUI
when I get SAS/C. (I suppose I _could_ do it in assembler, but it would
probably take much longer.)
Sorry for rambling (but then, that is the name of this section ;). The
'Mech editor I downloaded is called MECHED.ZIP, available in Library 5
(SF/Far Future) in the RPGames forum. It's not bad, really — it could be
better, but it's okay.
Someone on the forum also E-mailed me a WinDoze 'Mech editor. Pretty
nice…except for the fact that the font is so unnecessarily small and
squashed that it's very hard to read.

You must have already visited RPGames. 🙂 I'm running the Ivory Talons
(IVT) BattleTech game there. We currently have twelve 'Mechs and one LAM,
so if you want to help fill out the fourth ("strike") lance, you're more
than welcome. Just send me a character and a 'Mech; the 'Mech should be
fast, light or medium, and jump-capable (LAM optional). You can use
Tactical Handbook technology if you want — just no Clan stuff (without a
good reason).

Sounds interesting. I wouldn't mind seeing that, except for the fact that
I don't have Analyze. (Is Analyze a spreadsheet or a database?)
BTW, do you happen to have ADPro or another image converter? If you
don't, I'll have to upload the map in IFF (I've already done GIF and PCX;
the sysop'll just love me for posting it a _third_ time <g>).
Happy Thanksgiving!
