***NOTICE*** After some rabid chip switching today, have the following info: Attempted to install Workbench 3.1 on one of our A2000 systems with a Video Toaster 4000 card. After installing the KS ROM, the Toaster failed to boot. Tried several startup/library/config setups with no luck. I don't know about A3000 or A4000 setups, but I'd certainly suggest backing up your entire Workbench partition before installing 3.1 This is the first piece of gear/ware that failed to work. What DOES work: LW and Modeler 3.5 Stand Alone ADPro ImageFX (V1.5) Imagemaster R/t DPaint IV Brilliance Pixel 3D Pro Interchange Forge/Essence Ami-Back Quarterback EGS 24-bit card* Personal Animation Recorder/TBC-IV/V-Scope ParNet *EGS required modifiying the startup Except for the Toaster 4000, the upgrade appears to be transparent. Is 3.1 worth the money? That's another story… Trent/ReAnimators

I was talking to Newtek Tech. Support last week and they mentioned that they don't yet have a copy of AmigaDOS 3.1, so have been unable to verify that the Toaster software works with it.

Ahh. That would explain it. I'm sure Toaster compatability will appear in time… Trent/ReAnimators

I jave 3.1 AmigaDos running on a 3000 and the Toaster works fine with it. (Toaster 4000 card) JG

Interesting John. I wonder what the difference(s) in the ROM is (are)? I was a but curious why there were different KS ROMs for 500/2000/2500, 3000/3000T, and 4000. PS: Have you figured out a way to change the hideous green hilites on the pointer and busy doodads? Or is this another 2000/ECS specific problem? You can change the colors using the pointer prefs, but it doesn't survive a reboot. Trent/ReAnimators
