We want to utilize the network of 3dstudio machines we have in house.

Ok, no problem. If we can ever help just call (214) 960-7915. We are the manufacturer of the 'Render Jungle' multiple P90 rendering slave machine. We can bring on line almost any number of these machines if you get in a crunch and need additional horsepower. Also, we have in-house animation experts. We can lay to tape SVHS or BetaSP with no problem. Anyway, good luck! Keep in touch.

Can you tell me more about the 'Render Jungle"? Andrew

Andrew, Thanks for the inquiry – we are about to go into production on a black box (rack mountable or stand alone) that contains multiple (4 to 8) pentium boards networked (ultra high speed) under windows with massive amounts of RAM, autoswitching, power managed, etc. Basically, all the nice things you wish you had when rendering for a living!!! Pricing and literature are not available yet. Not for the casual user. Also, DEC Alpha version for Lightwave / Playmation-Hash / AND 3DSTUDIO under NT to follow soon. Matt Armstrong / AM Labs

Robert, Internally we are planning for a 4th Q 95' release of 3DSTUDIO NT. I have nothing on paper from Autodesk or anyone else <sic> to count on. All I'm going on is my evaluation of the market and what will have to happen for Autodesk to keep its share of that market. If I'm right AM Labs stands to make a lot of money. If I'm wrong the technology can be applied in other fields and other 3D programs. PS Don't get me wrong 3DSTUDIO is our choice of software… Matt Amrstrong / AM Labs

Matt: Speculation, eh? Figured as much. I have confidence that R5 will come in NT flavor. By then my company will no longer be running DOS and I'm hoping that 3DS will keep apace. Bob
