Hello…
A few of the ATC's in Quebec have asked me how to get into the s13 section
here.. They seem to have problems reaching the SYSOP? Is this not the way to
contact you?

Roger – to send a private message to Bob Henderson, address it to *SYSOP. The
asterisk makes sure it goes straight to him and no one else.

But as Dave said, it should be to *SYSOP to make it private only to the Wiz.
They should also be including the name of the ATC, the ATC number and any
Autodesk contact person they may be working with. Section access is usually
granted within 48 hours.
They also have to reset the forum options after the access is granted. We can't
do that for them, and for those that are running any form of CIM it's a
complicated proceedure to explain. Essentially they have to delete their
present setup in CIM for the ASOFT forum and rejoin. Those using command line
programs have to use the OPT(ions) menu to reset their favorite sections.
We also have a few that are under the impression that *ATC is a separate forum,
and have some problems grasping the fact that it's a message section here on
ASOFT. And even a few that insist that it should be part of ACAD, despite what
we tell them.

Thanks much (david too…) I hope this clears up their problems. Seems that
some are indicating in NAVCIS tht the message should be sent private (there is
a check box for this when composing messages) and they are getting a message
back from CIS indicating the the ASOFT forum does not support private
messages…Then it indicates that the message will be sent by e-mail… (would
this get to you?)

Roger,
The *SYSOP is actually a special type of private message that's enabled on
every forum whether they have private messages enabled or not. Just sending it
as a straight message will post it as private (done automagically by the forum
messaging software).
MAIL messages will not be delivered unless they have a specific UID attached to
them. If they wish to do this in MAIL, they should send their messages for
access to Bob Henderson 76702,531 as he's the keeper of the list.

to have access to ATC (13). Please advise, do you need there CIS numbers.

Absotively Karen,
We'll need the UID's just to find them in the membership base (we can search on
names but it normally takes so long that we either bring the forum to a crawl,
membership searches are resource intensive on a forum, or get logged off for
inactivity.) It would also help if you were to add all the extra stuff like the
ATC name, address, number and such. So post it as a *SYSOP message so only Bob
or I can see it. (remember the asterisk)
