#WRITE ROM
2 messages in this thread
My girlfriend has a 32K M100 and Chipmunk disk drive. I am thinking of
suprising her with a copy of PCSG's WRITE ROM for Xmas, but have some conserns
about the product. What are the reactions of other WRITE ROM owners? Is it
compatable with the Chipmunk? Does it interfere with CDOS? Are there any bugs?
What version is being shipped? Does the product live up to its' claims? Is it
possible to read and write to the disk directly? Any and all comments and
opinions are welcome! -+WMS3+-

The Write ROM is indeed a super fine program; with a Tandy 1000 on my
desk the Write ROM is preferred for heaavy duty jobs — multiple copies with
special formatting of many different kinds.
Write ROM will NOT read/write to disk, therefore I follow my standard
practice of removing Chipmunk's CDOS before using Write ROM or ANY other
program that doesn't need the Chipmunk in order to perform.
Though it seems incredibly difficult to believe, (especially after
meeting Sam Redmon in person) Write ROM really does live up to it's claims. See
WRIROM.REV in DL 6 for a review thereof.
Enjoy …
