Don: Thanks for your candid reply. There's one huge hitch with the PIC DD, even
considering its sophistication: It must be attached to the same buss as the CRT
adapter. Thus, if you use the disk drive, you can't drive a monitor. The
monitor, to me, is more of abenefit. According to PIC, you cannot daisy-chain
these devices off the side buss. So until someone comes up with a viable DOS
for the NEC and the TPDD,
I think I'll wait. There's no reason why the ingenious little TPDD shouldn't
work with the NEC, as it already does with the Brother WP-600. All it needs is
a genius to write the DOS! Thanks again. Sam M.
