Which Profeel are you using? I'm running the 19" and it is about 7' away from me. I'm running composite and it is quite readable. Some tips: Turn the sharpness control on the monitor almost to the SOFTEST position. Turn the brightness almost all the way off. On the Amiga, change the backround color to a medium grey. Make the border and text colors black and use whatever you want for the cursor. I'm using a dark green. This "Mac-like" color arrangement greatly improves the readability in 80-col. mode. In ABasiC, use the 'rgb reg, red, green, blue' and the 'screen' commands to get the same effect. The backround is controled by register 0, the border is 1, text is 2 and the cursor and outlines are the highest usable register with the current number of bit-planes. Thus: Screen 1,x curs/outlines ========== ============= x = 1 register 1 x = 2 3 x = 3 7 x = 4 15 I may have the border and text registers reversed. It's one or the other. – Bob
