I never was thrilled with VW Rabbits (although my brother just traded his Trans
Am for a Rabbit diesel that he loves). There's one thing that I hate about
buying new computer equipment: "new" becomes old so fast. The Sony CDP-1302 is
attractive to me because its excellence will keep it in the thick of current
technology for a few years down the road. In that sense, it is very much like a
fine car that holds its market value longer than average. I also like the idea
of owning a monitor that can "adapt" to different computers (of the future?).
My philosophy has always been to purchase a very few premium items and do
without other things rather than surround myself with mediocrity. I get more
satisfaction per dollar that way. 🙂 I'll let you know if I find the CDP-1302
anywhere and relay the price.
