Is someone really selling a fix for the internal 512K expansion? I hope not
for too much! I fixed it with less than $1.00 worth of parts, specifically a
74F10 and 74F08, as I recall (I'm typing on the modified machine now, which has
been on and running fine for 1.5 weeks). I should be posting these mods soon,
which involve a bit of chopping on your daughter board. Though if you can do
the initial 512K add-on without any problem, my fix is no tougher. -Dave
It is being offered in 3 versions as a matter of fact. 5.00 for a etched and
drilled board, 12.50 for for the board and parts, and 20.00 for the assembled
board. I agree it is a very mercenary thing to do, but most who expanded thier
machine are not really 'hardware' types and are stuck between a rock and a hard
place for a solution, so PLEASE POST SOON. Mark

At least that's not too bad, $5.00 for a PCB might be a slightly nicer thing to
do than what I did. I wonder exactly what he's doing, it should probably
achieve the same end that my mods do. I've found several ways to do this; I
like the way I've done it best of all. Its definately for hardware types,
though. I expect to draw the schematics this weekend, probably as an IFF file
so, even if you don't have access to Aegis (like me), you can still look at 'em
or print 'em out. -Dave

Please, fill me in on any problems you have found with the
daughter board. We have had some experiences where more than one
unit on the EXP port causes lots of GURUs and other maladies. We
have traced the problem to that *#%#*?!@*& Board but can't get any
further. We do know that if a machine exhibits the problem, R & R
of the D/Board fixes it!
