Df2:
1 messages in this thread
Larry,
I am not exactly new on the forum (Don gave me a hand a few months ago) but
I am usually a few weeks behind reading captured messages, so timely
participation is usually difficult.
Santa came early for me, and I am now the pleased owner of my SECOND
external drive. Pleased and a little surprised. When I daisy-chained it to
the existing df1:, everything worked fine !
The Hardware List: Amiga 1000 (almost 2 yrs. old) + Insider (Did it myself!)
+ 2 meg. Starboard + Supra SCSI interface (for 30 meg. HD) + 2 external 3.25
floppies (of course).
The Question: Is this likely to shorten Ami's power-supply life ? I had
planned on buying an external supply for df2: as it seemed like my Insider and
the 2 SLOTS (which worked straight out of the carton like they were supposed
to, by the way) would have already used up any headroom there was. I couldn't
resist trying the new drive right off, hoping that worst-case would only mean
replacing a fuse.
Thank you for any info you might share. –Bob
