I have just downloaded the 3.7 version of EMACS and am having trouble getting
the startup file emacs.rc to run. From the documentation supplied in ue37.arc I
expected the .rc file to run automatically when the editor started but nothing
happens. When I tried to force it by starting emacs with the following: emacs
@@emacs.rc
still nothing happened. Can't get the menu.cmd file to run either. I know I am
doing something wrong, any ideas?

I am using EMACS with Benchmark. My .emacs file was in the wrong directory.
When I ported it to the S: directory (on my workbench) everything went well.
Check to be sure your .rc file is in the right place.
