3 messages in this thread
Hi i just got a supra modem 2400…and i want to know if its possible
to have different baud settings without having to have differents
accounts with compuserve, i want to have a 2400 and 300 settings,
one will be used for CO, reading mail (or messages ) and the other
one for downloading large files ( or files in general…), also
is the NewTek demo ( new one…) PD if so i will be happy to Uploade it
it needs 1 meg to run and is about 1.76 megs!…one last question
how much ram is needed to run the ILShip.scene demo…?

Ed,
Yes, you can have different settings (assuming you mean different CIS
settings) for different baud rates. Just GO DEFALT at each baud rate and set
things up the way you want them. You will have to dial up separately for each
one, as it isn't possible to switch baud rates on the fly.
We have decided not to have the NewTek demo on line, as it is just plain too
big. I know it's impressive, but we feel that their will be few who would try
to download such a big file, and that those who tried would be lucky to end up
with a working version.
Thanks for the offer though.
Regards, Larry.
Ed,
Just to clarify one thing in Larry's message…while you have to dial
separate numbers for 2400 or 300 baud (GO PHONES to find a 2400 baud node in
your area), you do NOT need a separate account (ppn, UserID, whatever you want
to call it) for separate baud rates.
