Hi Marlene, Thanks for your UNarc suggestion. It worked fine.NEW PROBLEM: I have the utility MOVIE on one disk and I have a file that needs Movie to work on a second disk. Can you show me the syntax to get MOVIE (one disk one) to "load" the file on disk two? I've tried all kinds of weird DOS combinations, but so far,no good. I'm sure all these difficulties arise from the one-drive situation. Thanks again, Al Saveriano

Al, easiest solution would be to put MOVIE on the same disk – however if you don't have room then try MOVIE volumename etc.. What this means is that you are addressing the disk that the files are on by its' name so if your disk is named Fred then it would be movie fred:filename – now i'm not sure if this will work with movie or not but try it and let me know. You can do this with DOS commands and they will prompt you to insert disk FRED so I would think the same should be true for MOVIE. Marlene

Marlene, Thank you for your answer…however my SINGLE disk drive days are over! I picked up the 3.5" external drive on Tuesday! MUCH EASIER!! But I'm sure I'll run into problems and will be back on the forum asking my usual wacky questions! Thanks again, Al

Welcome Al, congrats on the 2nd drive – it will definitly make your life easier. Don't think of your questions as wacky – it takes time to learn any system and the Amiga is complicated. We're here if you need us. Marlene
