The PC supposedly only boots off drive A: or a PC hard disk, if you've got one. Since I didn't, I hacked my A2088 at work to talk to the external drive as drive A:, as I recall, a jumper wire and cut or two. I could have been elegant and made the internal drive B:, but it wasn't worth it since I'll never be using drive B:. -Dave

Dave, It doesn't matter anymore. I ordered a PC drive for my bridgecard. I do have another question and an observation. I tried replacing the 8088 with a V20. It didn't work. The PC window was garbled and the PC didn't boot-it said 'Boot error' or something. Is it possible to replace the 14.318MHz crystal with a 20 or 24MHz crystal to boost the bridgecard speed to 8Mhz? Mike

Dave, Here are the exact messages when the bridge is booted with a V20. LPV1 at 0378h RAM: 256KBytes 0K E0000h Optional ROM bad Checksum=15h Error. Press F1 key to continue. What do you think? Forget about the V20? Mike
