(Wait – lemme get out my Blotter so's I can figure that out)

I _really_ think that Mr. Leary is an individual who is either terminally stupid or has a psychological problem. I group much of modern, comparitivly "well-reasoned" opinions of how the mind works, what is "right", and the long term mental effects of drug use with astology, palmistry, most organized religion, and other self-re-enforcement programs with those who cannot grasp the concepts that science places in front of their faces. Mr. Leary represents, to me, the epitome of this kind of mental self-abuse, and I think he's a circus act, if one _has_ to lable where he fits into society. I wouldn't buy his program on the basis that it's bs, and promotes bs. On the other hand, I would not boycott CBM, which is a stupid act totally unrelated to any fact or facet of Mr. Leary's life. Were I so inclined, I would boycott television on the basis that the religious programs provided there do far more harm than Mr. Leary _ever_ did, or could do. _That's_ what I _really_ think. OK, It seems this time your really serious, and not simply trying to get a galvanic reaction from Forum members. (electrifying News?) Firstly, apologies for insult. I get cranky late at night. Sorry. Now, as to my reaction concerning Leary, If someone can somehow connect C=A directly to Leary, I think that qualifies them for the no-prize of being referred to as a 'burnout'. If they wan't to boycott a company because of Leary, they might as well start with Electronic Arts, IBM, Apple and Atari. All of them have software (written? doubtful) by Leary. It's called Mind Mirror, and was released by EA some time ago for the above computers, as well as the commodore 8-bit machines. Didn't hear the Whackos then; why listen to them now? I also doubt 'most' of the people you talked to were so vehement about the subject as you imply. There may be a few people that have trained themselves to remain so ignorant, but I doubt if any of them own Amigas. If you, or anybody feel so strongly about the subject, just don't buy the thing. Freedom of choice does extend to the wallet, I believe. Doug
