Gabe, Greg, Daryl, I bought a Bill's Board Bus (tempted to say Bug) Expander at WOC Philly show price ($400). Like the Navy recruiter might say, it's not just a board, it's an adventure. It sort of passes the bus, a terminal resistor pack is removable; but the pack is in the center of whatever box you use, so youre effectively limited to an internal add-on. I suspect there are some timing conflicts, based on the results I have had. The Bridgeboard and an XT hard disk controller/Seagate 238R work very well except for the Amiga partitions. JH0: and JH1: often generate erroneous read/write error requesters; clicking on retry usually gets rid of them. Oddly the frequency of errors is less as time goes by. A Micron Ram Board would configure, ie the WB titlebar would read 3 MgB and the"avail" command would list the correct ram numbers, but I could not actually address the ram. Putting more than 1 meg into ram always crashed the machine. The Amiga harddisk.device refused to load, using a A2090 controller. The 2090 wouldcause the HD drive light to blink once and then the system would freeze. Was using a Seagate 251 with the 2090. Switching slots made no difference in the above results. Best results were got after *removing* the resistor pack. Since I wanted a home for my Bridgeboard, I'm basically satisfied , but if you're looking for perfection right out of the box, look elsewhere that Bill's.
