I guess you misunderstood my message. I personally don't think that having a standard user interface toolbox for the Amiga would stifle creativity. But that is the kind of reaction I have been getting from others. My reaction to these comments is that if they don't want to use this user interface toolbox they are free to do things the way they are now–and no "creativity" is lost by not using provided tools. (Of course, I firmly believe that once some applications came out that started to use a common user interface, end users would vote with their checkbooks that they prefer these types of programs). And yes, I do remember the CO where we discussed adjustable colors in ProWrite. That option was indeed added to ProWrite 2.0, but (and I stated this in the CO) with the intention that the user use it to adjust the screen colors to match the printer's colors. There is even a sample document that comes with ProWrite that helps them do this. Since ProWrite prints in pure colors for its colored text output (dithering patterns on fonts is nearly useless, particularly if the font has single pixel wide strokes), then it makes little sense to adjust the screen's "red" to be green when it will still print in red.
